For 18 years Angel Forrest has seduced audiences with her energy and dynamic vocal style. Angel first came on to the scene with her album titled Secondhand Blues in 1996. Consumed by a passion for the Blues, she toured the four corners of the world, including Mexico, Japan and Morocco. Angel then began performing Janis Joplin’s repertoire with her own special touch and immortalized it with a second album titled Angel Sings Janis Live in 1998. All these years of experience have helped her acquire and perfect her original, strong yet warm and inviting voice. In February 2001, she released her first original French album entitled Étrange ce qui Dérange. She is now releasing Here For You, her first original English recording. When writing Here For You, she was inspired by everything that surrounds her as a woman, a mother and a lover seeking balance. On this record, Angel focuses on the small things that create her universe. The result is a gutsy folk sound, filled with emotions that only a mature artist is able to deliver so purely.
The first single
Come To Me, is a powerful ballad about wanting a
second chance at love.
Other songs include the title track Here For
You, which speaks of
letting go of the questions and to just enjoy
the beauty that surrounds us.
There’s also Mother Nature, which
adds a touch of blues and reveals
how important it is to be close to
the people we love and appreciate every
moment. The track, Free with
its exotics rhythms, talks about how
good you feel when you realize
you are free from a relationship that hurts.
